New documentation of this sound sculpture.
Made with metal mesh and copper wire, and connected to speakers. The sculpture generates sound and when touched the sound varies and intensifies. It was part of the sound walk “Signaler langs Glomma” at the sound art festival UrbanSoundArt, where it was placed outside. It invited people to touch it and to read about it and the sound walk. I worked with daily and so called “invisible sounds” in our surroundings composed with nature and city sounds, made from field recordings alonside the river Glomma, forest sounds, city sounds and electromagnetic sounds. This sculpture is the connection between the sounds that are out of reach and those you are surrounded with, by being able to touch and generate sound and by being connected to speakers so that you can hear sounds coming from metals.
